Looking for that perfect accessory or jewelry piece to complete your Roman costume? Check out the Chi Rho Roman Carved Bone Pendant. Carved from bone, this Roman pendant has a hole at the top for hanging from a leather cord or chain.
In the middle of the oval pendant, there is a cutout Chi Rho symbol, which combines a P with an X design. Circular grooves adorn the center of the symbol. A groove rings around the Chi Rho. There are notches along the outside edge of the Chi Rho pendant.
The Chi Rho became more popular in the Roman army after an order by Emperor Constantine. He had it painted on all of the soldiers shields before a battle, which he would go on to win. Constantine would later have it on coins and medallions as well. This bone pendant makes a great accessory for any reenactment or addition to a Roman jewelry collection.
